QPR are preparing an audacious bid for Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker according to The London Evening Standard.

The tenacious midfielder has been told he will be allowed to leave the club this summer as Tottenham look to make space for their summer signings in their squad.

Spurs signed Lewis Holtby from Bundesliga side Schalke 04 during the January and are set to add to their midfield options yet again after completing a deal for Corinthians’ Brazian midfielder Paulinho.

Tottenham will allow Parker to leave should a club meet their £2 million valuation of him.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is a firm admirer of the player and is more than willing to stump up the cash.

But the former Spurs boss knows he faces an uphill challenge to persuade Parker to drop down from the Premier League into the Championship.

The 32 year old still holds every chance of making it into the England squad for next summer’s World Cup finals tournament in Brazil but knows he will do himself no favours if he is playing Championship.

That might lead to Parker waiting to see if another club comes in for his signature, with Fulham seeming a more likely destination as he is keen to remain in the capital.
