Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is attracting the interest of a number of top European sides as contract talks with the Gunners continue to rumble on according to The Daily Mail.

The French defender has just twelve months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and the Gunners are keen for him to put pen to paper on new deal.

But Sagna is reportedly in two minds about a new contract as he has begun to question the ambition of the club.

Sagna made no secret of his disappointment last summer when the club sold Robin Van Persie and spoke of his anger in public, much to the dismay of boss Arsene Wenger.

The pair have since put the incident in the past but it appears Sagna is yet to be fully convinced of Arsenal’s ambition.

Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are thought to be monitoring the situation closely and are ready to make a move.

But they are likely to have to move fast in case French champions PSG act on their rumoured interest.

It is understood that Sagna would much prefer a move back to his homeland as he feels it would improve his chances of making the France squad for next summer’s World Cup.
