Italian outfit AS Roma have joined Turkish side Galatasaray in pursuit of Manchester United winger, according to the Daily Mail.

The Portuguese winger has just a year to left on his current United contract, and new manager David Moyes is prepared to sell Nani for the highest offer, but is holding out for a fee nearer £12million for his services. Monaco have also shown interest in acquiring Nani following their promotion back to Ligue 1 and are building for a title-challenging campaign.

Nani recently spoke of his United future after having a turbulent season at the Premier League champions. He said: “My future? Nothing is certain. I am calm. I have everything in my hands. I am not saying that I will not continue at Manchester United. I will think about what is best for me.”

Moyes, having confirmed this afternoon that Wayne Rooney would not be sold this summer, is interested in selling Nani, in order to allow new signing Wilfried Zaha more regular playing time in the first team, instead of loaning out the England winger this season.

Plagued by injuries and inconsistent play, it may be in Manchester United’s best interest to let Nani go and search for a replacement instead, after losing out on Eden Hazard and James Rodriguez in successive seasons. United have expressed their interest in Real Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez, however, they are reluctant to pay over the odds for the attacker.
