Victor Wanyama’s Celtic team mate Joe Ledley has said that the Kenyan is good enough to play for a top Premier League club, Goal.com reports.

Wanyama has been heavily linked with a move to England and reports suggest that Liverpool, Southampton, Cardiff and Everton are all interested in the highly rated midfielder.

Southampton reportedly had a £12 million bid accepted by Celtic but they failed to agree personal terms with Wanyama while Cardiff are also thought to have submitted a bid for the Kenyan.

Ledley expects his team mate to leave the Scottish Champions this summer and believes that Wanyama has the quality to become a huge success in England’s top flight.

He’s been great but it looks like he’ll continue his career somewhere else now,” he told the Daily Record.

“The Celtic fans know how good Victor is and realise we got him at a steal. He can play for a top team in the Premier League, easily. He’s got great potential and, if he can get to a top club, it would be fantastic to go up against him in the Champions League in the future”.

Wanyama had an excellent season for Celtic especially during the clubs Champions League campaign, when he helped Celtic beat Spanish Champions Barcelona at Parkhead.

Since then, Wanyama has been linked with a move away from Celtic and will hope to carry on the success that he had at the Scottish Champions while playing for his new club.
