Chelsea are set to sign West Brom teenager Isaiah Brown according to the Express & Star.

The 16 year old midfielder made his Premier League debut in May, becoming the second youngest player to do so in Premier League history, and is considered one of the hottest prospects in English football and the midfielder looks set to become Jose Mourinho’s third signing of the summer.

Brown’s move will entail Chelsea paying a compensation fee to the Baggies which this source states will be in excess of the £200k reported by some sources last week.

Returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho has already had a fairly busy summer, bringing in Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel from Bayer Leverkusen and Vitesse Arnhem respectively whilst also offloading and releasing a fair few squad players to make room for likely new additions.

Yossi Benayoun, Ross Turnbull, Hilario, Paulo Ferreira and Florent Malouda have all being offloaded whilst youngster Jeffrey Bruma has completed a £2.5m move to PSV Eindhoven.
