Everton’s new boss Roberto Martinez, is looking to sign former Wigan star Victor Moses from Premier League rivals Chelsea according to the Daily Mirror.

The £8million-rated winger is behind Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar and Schurrle on the pecking order so Roberto is looking to offer the Nigerian some game time. Although a loan move is more likely, a permanent deal is definitely not ruled out. The 22 year-old was brought in last summer by Roberto Di Matteo, who had four bids rejected prior to the acceptance of their £9million offer.

Everton are looking at the possibility of signing Spartak Moscow’s Irish winger Aiden McGeady or Swansea’s play off hero Nathan Dyer, but if both of those deals fall through then an £8million bid for Moses will be submitted, The Mail reports.

With the signing of Arouna Kone from Wigan on Monday, and a deal for Antolin Alcaraz pending, Moses would become the third former Latics player to sign for Everton this summer, if he were to sign. The Spanish manager will then look at signing former Wigan goalkeeper Joel Robes from Atlético Madrid, who will struggle for game time with Thibaut Courtois staying in Spain.

In other news, Manchester United look set to increase their initial offer for Everton’s Leighton Baines as David Moyes looks to bring the English international with him, to Old Trafford. A fee in the region of £12million is expected to be the next offer from Moyes and co, but Martinez is unlikely to accept as he looks to strengthen his squad – rather than selling stars, such as Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini, to Premier League competition.
