Internazionale bring former FC Barcelona starlet to San Siro.
Inter Milan have completed a deal to sign Mauro Icardi as co-owners from Sampdoria, reports fanatix Indonesia.
The 20 year-old Argentine forward enjoyed a fine campaign for the Genoa side, and came of age in the second half of the season.
Icardi only scored once before Serie A had their winter break, but grew into his role as a top flight striker after Christmas with ten goals total for the season.
Four goals against Pescara brought him plenty of headlines, but it was the young Argentine’s brace against Juventus that really made European clubs take notice of Icardi’s talent – which perhaps ought to have been obvious given his education at FC Barcelona’s La Masia academy.
Inter Milan look to have won the race to further his development, setting up a co-ownership deal that will see Icardi playing at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
If he can adapt to the increased demands placed on him by an impatient San Siro crowd, he could help the Nerazzurri return to the European elite.
Icardi will wear the number 9 shirt for Internazionale.
