Bolton Weighing Up Move For Crystal Palace Midfielder Andre Moritz

Former Palace boss interested in reunion with midfielder.

Bolton Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman is said to be considering a move for former Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Andre Moritz, according to Sky Sports.

The 26-year-old is now a free agent after turning down a new contract with the Premier League new boys and Freedman is all set to pounce to bring him to the Reebok after working with him during his time in charge at Selhurst Park.

His rejection of a new deal in South London means that he will be passing up the opportunity to test himself in the top flight, though he is thought to be keen to remain in England.

However, there are thought to be several other offers on the table for Moritz, meaning Bolton need to act fast if they are to snap him up this summer.

“It is something we are looking at,” Freedman said in the Bolton News.

“I’ve worked with him before and with it being a free transfer, if it was also an acceptable wage, then it might be something we can do.”

Moritz made a total of 27 appearances for Palace during his solitary season with the club, scoring five goals in the process.
