Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Zenit St Petersburg front man Hulk has revealed that Premier League duo Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both made approaches to sign him this summer, according to reports in Givemesport.com.

The powerful Brazil international has been the subject of plenty of conjecture in recent weeks linking him with a possible big-money move away from the Russian giants when the summer transfer window reopened at the start of this month.

However, as yet the 26-year-old is still very much a Zenit player, with no clubs having made a move for the attacker who registered an impressive 11 goals and eight assists in 30 matches overall in all competitions for his employers last season, including seven strikes and four assists in 18 Russian Premier League outings.

And that was Hulk’s first-ever campaign in Russia, having only moved to Zent from FC Porto for a whopping 60 million euros last September, although it was a season dogged by controversy as the forward fell out with both his own team-mates, as well as head coach  Luciano Spalletti, opening the door to a possible summer move back to Europe.

“These approaches do exist. There are lots of clubs interested in me though,” Hulk said in a radio interview back home in Brazil.

“Zenit is a great club, but if I do go I want to move to a better place, with a better team in a better competition.”

But whether either Chelsea or Spurs would be willing to pay Zenit’s £50m asking price for the Brazilian this summer very much remains to be seen.
