Ivorian defender Kolo Toure has urged Luis Suarez to stick with Liverpool and reject the advances of Arsenal according to Goal.com.

The Uruguayan striker appears destined to leave Anfield this summer after publically expressing his intentions to move on a number of occasions.

Suarez initially claimed that he wanted to leave Liverpool because he felt victimised by the English media. But as news of reported interest from Premier League clubs emerged, Suarez has changed his story to him wishing to play in the Champions League.

Suarez is understood to prefer a move to Real Madrid but so far a bid from the Spanish giants has not been forthcoming.

Arsenal on the other hand are known to have made an offer of £30 million, although that was immediately turned down by Liverpool.

Liverpool are keen to hold onto their prize asset but may be forced into accepting a bid should any club meet Suarez’s £40 million minimum fee release clause.

But Liverpool new-boy Toure has urged Suarez to remain at Anfield, believing his chances of winning silverware are better suited there than at the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool have made a number of acquisitions this summer and they are expected to be stronger than they have been in recent seasons.
