Leighton Baines- Everton to Manchester United
Baines is considered one of the best full backs playing in the Premier League at the moment following several excellent seasons for Everton. The full back was one of David Moyes trusted lieutenants at Goodison Park and now that Moyes is Manchester United manager, the Scot would like to bring Baines to Old Trafford. United have already had a £10 million bid rejected by Everton but reports suggest that the Red Devils will soon be back with an improved bid for the 28 year old. Everton are desperate to hang onto Baines with Roberto Martinez seeing the player as an important part of his plans going forward.
The Toffees are set to demand around £18 million for Baines, an amount United are unlikely to pay. However, Moyes is desperate to re-united with Baines and the full back would also like to move to Old Trafford as it could enhance his chances at international level. It may take Baines asking Everton for a move if any transfer were to go through and the next week is likely to be pivotal in terms of where Baines will be come next season.
