Scott Sinclair to Newcastle United
Some players make some terrible decisions in their careers. Sinclair had it all going for him at Swansea, and if he’d stayed he would now be boasting a Capital One Cup winners medal as well as being able to look forward to an exciting Europa League campaign next season.
However, the desire to make the jump too soon has bit him on the backside and he has managed just a handful of appearances in a City shirt and a damaged reputation.
However, that’s not stopped the likes of Everton and Newcastle, the latter especially, in making him a summer target to end his Etihad hell.
Newcastle’s transfer team of Alan Pardew, Joe Kinnear and Graham Carr are all said to be moving away from the French influence of the January transfer window in favour of a more British approach after some well documented problems within the club’s dressing room towards the tail end of last season.
With speculation surrounding the future of Hatem Ben Arfa, Pardew has identified Sinclair as the ideal replacement and may even be able to snare him on a cut price deal.
