Peter Odemwingie looks set to finally leave West Brom as Crystal Palace prepare a £1.75 million bid for the striker, the Daily Telegraph reports.

The striker will not be a part of West Brom’s pre season training camp in Austria and has been training away from the first team for awhile now.

Palace have been in talks with West Brom for the past few days and despite the Baggies demanding over £2 million for Odemwingie, Palace are confident that they can get the asking price down for a player who only has one year remaining on his contract at West Brom.

The striker has also been out of favour for sometime at West Brom, having tried to force through a move to QPR in January by turning up at Loftus Road without the Baggies permission.

Odemwingie has since spent most of last season on the bench and many expected the striker to move away from the Hawthorns this summer.

Palace boss Ian Holloway is looking to bolster his attacking options for the clubs first season back in the Premier League by signing the experienced Odemwingie, who turns 32 on Monday.
