Manchester United manager David Moyes has said that he is working hard behind the scenes on bringing in new faces to the club this summer, talkSPORT reports.

The champions are keen to add to their squad in preparation of a fresh title defence this season with Everton full back Leighton Baines and Barcelona’s Thiago Alcantara said to be their two main targets.

And Moyes insists there are more options available to them, though he stopped short at naming names.

“Man United will always be in for the best players in the world but we are also very interested in developing our own youth players and bringing in potential players for the future, so we are working on that just now,” he said.

“Don’t be kidded because there is a bit of a lack of activity. Take it from me, we are working hard behind the scenes to tryto improve the squad.

“I’m really fortunate that Alex [Ferguson] has given me the champions of England. My job is to try and keep that going, maintain it and build on it. We are out there trying.

“I won’t talk about players at other clubs, I don’t think it is right, but I can tell you we are out there trying to do some business.”
