Tottenham have been warned that they are being left behind in the race to sign talented winger Nacer Chadli, the Daily Mirror reports.

Chadli’s club, FC Twente has claimed that although their is interest from Spurs, they haven’t yet received a bid from the North London club and confirmed that the only two teams to submit bids have been Swansea City and Shakhtar Donetsk.

The winger only has one year remaining on his current contract at FC Twente and the club are resigned to losing him this summer but will only accept bids of £7.75 million for Chadli.

Reports suggest that Chadli wants to move to Spurs as he is keen to join up with his international team mates, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele.

While Chadli wants a move to North London, he will not wait forever and Spurs must be careful not to wait to long with Swansea hoping to sign the player.

Both Swansea and Spurs have been busy in the transfer market this summer as they try and beef up their squads for the Europa League.

Spurs are hoping to sign several quality players this summer so that they can make an assault on the Premier League’s top four.
