Serbian would actually welcome arrival of mercurial Reds attacker at the Bridge next season.

Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says that he is more than happy for the west London club to sign controversial Liverpool front man Luis Suarez this summer, despite having been bitten by the Uruguayan only three months ago, reports the Daily Mail.

The Blues have been linked in recent weeks with making a big-money move for the unsettled Reds attacker, who himself has declared his intentions to leave Anfield in order to join Spanish giants Real Madrid now that the transfer window has reopened for business.

However, los Blancos have not as yet even made official contact with the Merseysiders about purchasing the skilful 26-year-old, opening the door therefore for the Blues to make their own play for Suarez.

And the Serbia international says that he has absolutely no problems whatsoever with his club trying to bring the centre forward to Stamford Bridge next season, with Suarez having been banned for ten matches by The Football Association having bitten the full back’s upper arm in a Premier League encounter last April.

“About Luis Suarez, I said straight after the game, whatever happened on the field finished there,” said the right back in Bangkok, where the Uefa Europa League winners are at present on their pre-season tour.

“He’s one of the best strikers in the Premier League. I don’t have any problem with him or doubt about that.”

Suarez has registered an impressive 51 goals and 24 assists in just 96 matches for the Reds since first arriving at Anfield from Ajax in January 2011.
