Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has said that he hasn’t heard about any clubs making a move for him despite reported interest from Liverpool, Sky Sports reports.

The Reds are thought to be interested in a move for Eriksen having failed to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who choose to move to Champions League runners-up Borussia Dortmund instead of Liverpool.

Eriksen is set to enter the final of year of his contract at Ajax, meaning the Dutch club may need to sell the midfielder or risk seeing him move away for free next summer.

Ajax boss Frank De Boer recently revealed that he wouldn’t stand in the way of Eriksen if he decided to leave the club and the player has said that although he would like to move a bigger club, he hasn’t received any offers from interested clubs.

“I do not know more about this than you,” he told Voetbal International. “If I leave, I have to go to a club that is bigger than Ajax in every way.

“But no clubs like that have shown interest yet. I’ve read a lot about it, but heard nothing from the club.”

Liverpool are desperate to sign a quality midfielder this summer have targeted Eriksen because his style of play would fit in well at the club.

Italian club Roma are also reportedly interested in Eriksen and could rival Liverpool for the Dane’s signature.
