Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

A number of clubs are preparing to battle in order to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie according to Sky Sports.

The wantaway striker has made no secret of his desire to leave the club ever since falling out with West Brom officials during the January transfer window.

Odemwingie suffered the humiliation of being filmed live on television as he was locked out of QPR’s Loftus Road stadium in the previous January transfer window.

Odemwingie has subsequently claimed he was told by West Brom that he had permission to travel down and discuss a deal with QPR but that has been repeatedly denied by the Black Country club.

The incident soured relations between the player and West Brom and Odemwingie has rarely featured since.

He looks certain to leave the club this summer and it appears that a number of sides are ready to offer him an escape route from the Hawthorns.

Crystal Palace are understood to have made their interest in the 31-year old striker known and it appears that they are set to be joined by the likes of West Ham, newly-promoted Hull City, Sunderland and Fulham.

It is thought that a bid in the region of £1.5 million would be enough to tempt West Brom into letting Odemwingie leave.
