Arsenal’s brightest prospect Jack Wilshere has told reporters that Arsenal are in awe of the players currently being linked with a move to the club, stating “everyone at the training ground has been talking about big-name signings” according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Liverpool’s star striker Luis Suarez who appears to have lost his will to stay on Merseyside after his torrid time in the British media last year.

Unfortunately, it does appear that Wilshere may have to unfollow Gonzalo Higuain on twitter as the Argentine’s move to the Emirates has stalled due to interest from Napoli. The 25 year-old was set for a £23million move from Madrid to London, but it appeared Higuain had a change of heart when it came to actually going for a medical.

Jack has told reporters he believes Arsenal can take advantage of the manager merry-go-round in the Premier League that has seen Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City replace their managers this summer, whilst Arsene Wenger is the longest serving in the Premier League. The English international eyes some silverware this year to end their eight year wait.

Reporters asked Jack what it would mean to him and his team mates if they were to wrap up deals for these ‘big-name signings’ : “It would give us all such a massive lift. Not just the players but the staff and everybody connected to Arsenal.”

“Everything has changed at the other top four clubs. Sir Alex Ferguson has gone [retired], Chelsea and City have new managers, so we have to set our targets high.”
