Peter Crouch will reject the chance to link up with Harry Redknapp at QPR, despite having played under the Englishman several times before, the Daily Star reports.

Redknapp is a huge fan of Crouch and has signed the striker for Tottenham, Southampton and twice at Portsmouth.

He was hoping that the front man would spearhead QPR in the Championship this season with the aim of having the Hoops back in the Premier League next season.

A £6 million bid is reportedly being readied by QPR but Crouch will turn down the chance to work with Redknapp again, claiming that he is happy at Stoke City and will fight for his place in the Potters starting line-up.

Crouch hopes that he will be an important part of new Stoke manager Mark Hughes’s plans, with reports suggesting that the Welshman would be open to selling the 32 year old.

Stoke paid Tottenham £10 million to sign Crouch two years ago and the striker has said that with his family settled in Cheshire, he is more than happy to stick around at the Britannia Stadium.

Crouch said: “I’m more than happy here and the family is settled. As long as the manager is happy and I am, then I don’t think there’s anything to be done.”
