Alvaro Morata Hopes To Stay At Real Madrid to Fight for First Team Future

The Real Madrid striker will be hoping to get more first team opportunities at the Bernabeu next season.

Alvaro Morata has distanced himself from speculation linking him with a move away from Real Madrid, Goal.com reports.

The young striker started to get some opportunities in the Madrid first team last season having come through the clubs youth team.

He has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this season, with Liverpool thought to be monitoring his progress but Morata has said that he wants to stay with Madrid and work his way into Carlo Ancelotti’s first team.

2I’m training well and want to stay in Madrid,” Morata said.

“The club and coach want me to stay. I do not have to turn down any offers because I have not received any. I just want to play here”.

The striker is one of a number of young players who will trying to break into the Real Madrid first team this season, with new arrival Isco hoping to challenge Mesurt Ozil for a spot in Los Blancos midfield.

Their could be a spot opening up for Morata in the striking department at Real Madrid, with Argentine Gonzalo Higuain set to leave the club.

Arsenal and Napoli are thought to be in negotiations with the club about signing the striker with the Italian side thought to be favourites at the moment.
