Fiorentina have announced that they have reached an agreement with Manchester City for striker Stevan Jovetic to move to the Etihad, Goal.com reports.

The Premier League runners-up will pay Fiorentina £23.3 million for the striker plus add-ons, with the player set to be yet another addition to City’s squad this summer.

The Sky Blues have already signed Jesus Navas from Sevilla and Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk, while Alvaro Negredo is set to have medical at City after Sevilla agreed a £20 million fee with the Premier League runners-up.

Following the sale of Carlos Tevez, City only had two strikers available but the arrivals of Jovetic and Negredo will ease the clubs problems up front.

Jovetic has been an ever present member for Fiorentina’s side and was one of the most impressive strikers on show in Serie A last season.

However, the striker announced earlier this summer that he was looking to move away from Fiorentina to play for a big club that is challenging for the biggest trophies.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini will hope that Jovetic can push his side to the top of the Premier League table while Fiorentina have already signed what looks to be Jovetic’s replacement in the form of Mario Gomez.
