New Manchester United signing Wilfried Zaha could be sent out on loan during the January transfer window as the club look to continue his development according to The Telegraph.

David Moyes is eager to have the 20-year-old winger around the club for the interim so take examples from senior players such as Ryan Giggs in order to become a model pro at the Premier League champions but will monitor his progress to see if a future loan move would aid his development.

When United first recruited the forward for £10million from Crystal Palace in January, they loaned him back to Selhurst Park for the rest of season and he proved influential in helping the Eagles rise back to the Premier League with a play-off success.

There are concerns among the backroom staff at Old Trafford that Zaha, despite his clear talents, still needs to become more disciplined on the pitch to reach the level required of him at United.

Moyes, however was full of praise for the teenager after his performance in United’s friendly 5-1 win in Australia on Saturday, saying: “Zaha started his first game and he was unlucky not to score, especially in the second half, and he showed moments that nearly got you out of your seat. That was a promising night for him.”

The former Everton manager now wants Zaha to learn from United’s veteran Giggs and has even told the youngster to change next to the 39-year-old which they hope will have a positive impact on the former Championship star before a possible loan move.

Palace manager Ian Holloway would love to have the winger back at the club for part of the new season but Moyes is likely to send the one-cap England international elsewhere to gain further experience.
