Arsenal are hot on the heels of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and having made a second bid for the Uruguayan it is being reported by the Daily Mail that the North London club have already agreed personal terms with the Premier League marksman.

The Emirates Stadium side have been told it would take upwards of £50m to secure the services of the want-away forward and the Gunners have thus far made moves to the tune of £40m plus £1, a fee they thought would trigger Suarez’s release clause.

Arsenal have however agreed terms on a five year contract which would be worth £150k a week, a significant increase on his current £120k a week contract.

Therefore the overall cost of such a package would set Arsenal back £39m, a sign that the club is certainly ready to amend their current wage ceiling.

Arsene Wenger is clearly keen on bringing in Suarez, who is now said to be motivated by a desire to secure Champions League football, seemingly canceling out his previous reasoning for pushing for a Liverpool exit, that being originally down to the level of intrusion he felt he was being subjected to by the British press as well as his feeling that he has been victimized by the English FA, clearly two factors that will not be resolved by a move to London.
