Barcelona new manager Gerardo Martino is set to have showdown talks with Cesc Fabregas as the player decides whether or not to leave the Nou Camp for Manchester United, the Daily Express reports.

Martino is set to be unveiled as Tito Vilanova’s replacement on Friday and he won’t have long before he has to make the first big decision of his reign at the Spanish Champions.

Fabregas is thought to be considering his options at Barcelona following a second bid from Manchester United.

The bid was rejected by the Catalan club but it has made Fabregas think about whether or not he should stay at the Nou Camp or move to Manchester United, where he will be guaranteed first team football.

United are set to lodge one final bid with Barcelona, thought to be around £35 million and Fabregas will almost certainly leave the Nou Camp if it is accepted.

Martino will probably have the final say on whether or not Barca accept the bid and Fabregas future is set to be the main topic of discussion at the press conference on Friday.

Fabregas is considering leaving the Nou Camp because he hasn’t been assured of a starting place at Barcelona next season and would like the opportunity to play plenty of first team football before next summers World Cup.
