Turkish side Trabzonspor have pulled off something of a coup by announcing the signing of former Chelsea stars Jose Bosingwa and Florent Malouda according to The Daily Mail.

The two players recently underwent medicals at the club and are expected to sign in the coming days.

Trabzonspor will be able to sign the players without paying a fee as both had become free agents over the summer.

Former France international Florent Malouda arrived at Chelsea with a strong reputation but failed to really settle in the Chelsea team. He found himself frozen out last season and it was clear for some time that both club and player felt it was best if they parted ways this summer.

Bosingwa spent four years at Chelsea between 2008 and 2012, before eventually joining QPR last summer.

He was part of the team that suffered a humiliating relegation from the Premier League, despite the club investing vast sums of money on new players.

Bosingwa in particular was singled out for criticism after appearing to laugh on the pitch on the day that QPR’s relegation was confirmed.

That prompted Bosignwa and QPR to by mutual consent last week. They join a growing number of high profile names joining the Turkish league, following the arrival of Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder at Galatasaray last January.
