It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Porto have one of the most underrated scouting networks in Europe as they continue to find hidden gems stashed away in South America before bringing them in for a minimal amount and selling them on as world class stars.

The 26-year-old signed on from Mexican side Chiapas last summer and took to life in Europe like a duck to water by bagging 26 goals in 30 league appearances to help pip rivals Benfica to the title.

Strong, physical, outrageously intelligent and able to score with either foot he has become one of the most sought after strikers in Europe with the likes of Manchester United and Napoli both linig up to take a closer look.

He also found European competition easy to navigate too as his three goals early on helped the club ease past the group stages before they eventually lost out to Malaga in the quarter finals.

Managing to outscore the club’s former striker – and his current international teammate Radamel Falcao with 11 goals in his first 12 games, it’s no wonder that a number of club’s have been taking an interest in him.
