42. Gonzalo Higuain
It’s strange to think that Real Madrid were willing to let the Argentine international leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer after his goals were one of the key reasons that the club were able to keep up with Barcelona for so long.
Consistently consistent, the 25-year-old has hit double figures in terms of goals every season since 2007 and now he has made the move to Italy he will be hoping for more of the same in Rafa Benitez’s new look Napoli side.
Starting off the season well with three goals in the first three games, he then helped Real clinch their only title of the season, the Supercopa de Espana, against fierce rivals Barcelona.
Managing to break the 100 goals mark whist at Real this season, his transfer has most likely left a bitter taste in fans mouths as he is undoubtedly on of the finest forwards on the planet today, only now he has to fill the boots left by Edinson Cavani, which will be no easy task.
