Winning mindset is a must
The Sky Blues endured a stuttering Campaign last season finishing 7th, after Head Coach Ian Crook departed just a month into the new season.
Following the 3-2 defeat to Padova,on the first game of the club’s Italian tour,Azzurri Legend Del Piero believes Sydney need to get into a winning frame of mind, if they are to be at the forefront of the new A-league Campaign.
According to Goal Australia, Del Piero ,Speaking to The World Game said: ” We will play every game in Italy with a strong mentality, we hate to lose,
“We try to do everything to win, that is why every team [is] very ready for tactical and physical situations.
“We have to think about victory, the finals, winning the Championship.
“We have to see what happens on the field and that’s what we are focusing on now, trying to get to know each other, the players, and the new coach and staff, this is a big moment for us.”
The Sky Blues have had a busy off season, offloading ten players and signing only five. Two of the five brought in have been from the UK
Including former Airdrie and Sheffield United left back Marc Warren and Striker Corey Gameiro from Fulham.
