Gareth Bale continues to press for his dream move to Real Madrid, with the player becoming increasingly annoyed at Tottenham’s hard-line stance over his sale, Marca reports.

The winger missed Spurs pre-season game against Espanyol at the weekend, and the clubs fans seem to be resigned to losing the Welshman, with no songs or chants about Bale being heard during the game.

The player hasn’t played for Spurs since the clubs pre-season friendly against Swindon Town on June 16th, with a muscular problem being blamed on his repeated absence by the Tottenham hierarchy.

However, some reports suggest that Bale is using this as excuse to force through a move to Madrid and also not to jeopardise the transfer by making any injury even worse.

Bale has made it clear to the Spurs hierarchy that he wants to move to Madrid and his reluctance to play in most of the clubs pre-season games is evidence of that.

Reports last week suggested that Madrid’s interest in Bale was waning because of Tottenham’s valuation of the player, meaning Bale may need to hand in a transfer request in order to force Spurs back to the negotiating table with Madrid.
