The Panama striker netted a sensational Reserve League winner on his MLS debut.

Signing a Designated Player is a big move for any club. There is a lot of money involved, which in turn brings a lot of pressure.

This is amplified ten-fold when a club brings in its first ever DP, just like the Rapids have done with Panama striker Gabriel Torres. Rapids fans may be able to relax a little now though, as the Gold Cup golden boot winner scored on his Rapids debut.

Torres glided through the Chivas USA defence before curling a strike into the far corner to secure a 2-1 Reserve League win for his new side in his first run-out in Rapids colours.

Fans will no doubt be hoping he can make a similar impact when Colorado travel to Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. For now, check out footage of the goal here:
