Arsenal are reportedly set to make a raid on PSV Eindhoven for two of their prized assets, with bids lined up for Georginio Wijnaldum and Zakaria Bakkali.

According to Inside Futbol, the Gunners have identified these talented youngsters as good alternatives to Luis Suarez, who has more or less ruled out leaving Liverpool this summer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger supposedly sent scouts to watch the pair against NEC at the weekend, with 17-year-old Bakkali in particularly impressive form as he scored a hat-trick in only his second appearance for the club, thus making him the youngest player to score a hat-trick in the Eredivisie in the process.

Wijnaldum was also on the scoresheet, netting a brace for the club, and has been a top performer for the club over the last couple of seasons, scoring 20 goals and contributing 8 assists last year.

Both players are equally capable on the wing or upfront, and look like they would fit in perfectly with Arsenal’s free-flowing and attack-minded style of play. With the likes of Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh leaving this summer, improvements upfront have been a priority for the club.

Other reports claim that Wenger is considering Swansea City striker Michu as another alternative to Suarez.
