Hull City have officially completed the signing of Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone and have also brought in his White Hart Lane team-mate Jake Livermore on a season long loan spell.

26 year old Huddlestone has signed a three year deal and is said to have cost the Tigers a club record fee of £5.25m and Bruce will hope that the experienced midfielder helps provide real quality in the centre of the park.

Huddlestone spent eight and a half years at Tottenham, whom he joined from Derby County in a £2.5m deal back in July 2005.

Given that Andre Villas-Boas had brought in a number of central midfielders since taking over at Tottenham a year ago it seems Huddlestone had become surplus to requirements at the North London club having made a total of 209 appearances for the club, scoring 15 goals in the process.

Livermore will hope to secure some much needed first team action at the KC Stadium, having struggled to make an impact at Tottenham, spending much of his time at the club out on loan. The 23 year old has spent time at Leeds United, Ipswich Town, Peterborough United and Derby County in recent seasons and has thus far made just 11 Premier League starts since moving to Spurs in July 2008.
