Nani has revealed that he would like to stay at Manchester United and fight for his place in the clubs first team, the Guardian reports.

The wingers future has been the subject of speculation this summer, with reports suggesting that United manager David Moyes was eager to offload to the Portuguese international.

However, it now seems that Moyes wants to keep Nani at the club as he prepares to try and regain the Premier League title.

The winger would also like to sign a new contract with the Red Devils as his current deal is set to expire in two years time.

Nani has often been a frustrating figure for fans at Old Trafford, possessing plenty of quality but never being able to hold down a place in the United first eleven.

Roma and Monaco are reportedly interested in signing the 26 year old but it appears that the winger wants to remain in Manchester and could be a dangerous player for United if he stays fit.

After scoring United’s two goals in their pre-season friendly against Crewe, Nani hinted that he wanted to remain at Old Trafford, saying that he wants to win the league again with the Red Devils.

“I hope to win the league again and, for my personal wishes, I want to be at my best and score a lot of goals. Like I said, I just need to be at my best and then everything will come together,” he said.
