Full back hoping Scotland spell will put him in the shop window.

Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton is still hoping to secure a move away from the club this summer but has admitted that he is yet to receive any offers, Sky Sports reports.

The 28-year-old former Rangers man spent time on loan with both Nottingham Forest and Real Mallorca last season having lost his place in the Villa team at the expense of Matthew Lowton and looks set for another spell on the sidelines this year if he can’t engineer a move away.

And Hutton, who played the full 90 minutes of Scotland’s friendly encounter with England on Wednesday night, expressed his desire to secure a permanent move away from the club before the transfer window shuts on September 2.

When quizzed on whether he had a future in the West Midlands he said; “I can’t see it. Hopefully something will happen in the next few weeks so I can get away and start playing, doing what I enjoy.

“To play out there [Wembley] was brilliant for me; this is what I want to do week in, week out.

“I’ve been training hard back at Villa, I had a time over in Spain which I loved so we’ll see what the new season brings.”

When asked if there were any offers on the table, Hutton added: “Not that I know of.

“I’m just keeping my head down at the moment working hard and I’ll see what happens.”
