Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has expressed his belief that young winger Wilfried Zaha can go on and become a huge success at Manchester United according to Goal.com.

Zaha played for Palace last season and was instrumental in their success that saw them achieve promotion to the Premier League.

The winger had already signed for United for most of the season after former boss Sir Alex Ferguson wrapped up a deal for the starlet last winter.

Palace had hoped to persuade United to allow him to return to Palace on loan for another season but that was soon dismissed after the United management saw Zaha’s pre-season performances.

Holloway backed Zaha to become a United legend, stating that everything he’d heard so far about the player’s performances had been complimentary and that he was fitting in well at Old Trafford.

Holloway revealed that he believes Palace may have struggled to achieve promotion to the Premier League last season were it not for Zaha’s ability.

The former Blackpool boss believes that Zaha will now benefit from the experience of the players around him in terms of pushing on his development.

Holloway pointed out during the Community Shield tie, Ryan Giggs admonished Zaha for attempting a back heel, and believes the youngster can only benefit from having such players around him.
