Tottenham are preparing to step up their attempts to persuade Gareth Bale to stay by increasing their efforts to sign three new attacking players according to The Express.

Spurs are keen to prove their ambition to Bale in the hopes of persuading him to turn down the advances of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

They are getting ready to splash the cash in to prove that they are capable of becoming one of the biggest teams in Europe.

Spurs have already broken their transfer record twice this summer, but it appears that won’t stop them from continuing to invest significant sums in improving the playing squad.

Top of the list is Roma winger Erik Lamela, who it is thought is likely to cost somewhere in the £30 million mark. The Argentine is also understood to be interesting Southampton.

Spurs could also make a move for Ajax’s Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen. The youngster is thought to have a bright future in the game and recently expressed an interest in moving to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham are also ready to go head to head with Liverpool in a bid to sign Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian. Spurs tried to sign the Brazilian from his previous club Shakhtar during the January transfer window but were priced out of a move.

Anzhi has since adopted a change in transfer policy and have placed their entire squad up for sale.
