Returning Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could give debuts to new boys Andre Schurrle and Marco Van Ginkel as he prepares for his first Premier League encounter since 2007.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses have fallen victims to the international break jet lag so may not feature just yet but other than that the Blues have no new injury concerns, freeing up attentions to be placed upon Mourinho and his English return.

Hull could give debuts to new recruits Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Maynor Figueroa, Danny Graham, Yannick Sagbo, Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore as Steve Bruce now has a number of options available to him to build up from last season’s promotion winning squad.

Stephen Quinn will miss out with a hamstring problem, but everyone else is up and ready for the challenge of top flight football.

Bruce will want to be cautious of taking risks without setting up in an overly defensive manner, something that Tom Huddlestone will be integral to that as he protects the back four.
