Real Madrid starlet Isco says he would welcome the addition of Tottenham star Gareth Bale to the squad at the Bernabeu, according to ESPN.

The Spaniard himself just arrived at the club this summer after making a £25million move from fellow La Liga side Malaga, and believes Bale would represent a continuation of the improvement of the squad under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Bale has been one of Real’s prime targets all summer, with the Spanish giants said to be willing to pay over £85million for the Welsh winger, a deal that would make him the most expensive player of all time.

The Spurs attacker scored 26 goals last season, many of them terrific solo efforts, and he was awarded with the PFA and Players’ Player of the Year awards for his efforts.

La Liga runners-up Real are already blessed with some great attacking talent, but Isco believes the extra option of Bale would give the manager a nice problem to have.

“He [Bale] is a great player,” Isco said. “If he comes it would be a ‘blessed’ problem for the boss.

“If he arrives I would have to welcome him, like all other new players.”

Bale’s future remains up in the air, but it is understood that he is hoping to force through an exit from White Hart Lane before the end of the transfer window.
