5. Radamel Falcao (Monaco)
One of the most talked about strikers in the world going into this summer, Radamel Falcao was linked with almost every big club before he eventually left Atletico Madrid in a surprise move to big-spending Monaco. In a bizarre turn of events, however, the prolific Colombian could be set to leave the club after just a few months with the news that Monaco’s players may have to adhere to French tax laws and pay the top income tax bracket of 75%. This has led to a number of the club’s big earners questioning their future with the Ligue 1 side, and unsurprisingly Falcao is now being talked up as a target for the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United again. Falcao has denied these rumours so far, but with Monaco’s wealthy Russian owner facing a massive £85million fine, he may prefer to let his star player go. Amazingly enough, a transfer saga that looked finished long ago could now spark into life again.
