The Champions League qualifying round is upon us with what is easily one of the most mouth watering clashes of the draw.
PSV will be hosting the seven time winners and will be hoping that their good form of three wins out of three this season will translate to Europe as they currently sit pretty atop the the Eredivise table.
However, the departure of the likes of Dries Mertens, Erik Pieters and Kevin Strootman have weakened the team considerably, whilst solid squad players such as Atiba Hutchison, Orlando Engelaar and Wilfred Bouma have all been moved on to.
Adam Maher has come in for a big fee, and he has been joined by Chelsea’s Jeffrey Bruma and Ji-Sung Park on a season long loan, but whether that will be good enough to see them through a European campaign remains to be seen.
Milan have yet to test themselves competitively this season but have a virtually full clean bill of health to choose from, meaning that they will most likely field their strongest side in order to wrap the tie up now before the return leg in Italy later this month.
