Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he is still looking to strengthen Tottenham’s squad before the transfer window closes on September 2nd, Sky Sports reports.

The club have already spent heavily on new players this summer, bringing in Paulinho, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Etienne Capoue.

Despite the money the club have already spent, Villas-Boas still wants to add to his squad as he prepares to try and break into the Premier League’s top four this season.

He told Sky Sports News: “We haven’t finished.

“I think we have a very good squad and we have obviously already had some activity in the market, but we are a looking further. There is a possibility.”

Spurs have been linked with a move for Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian, with reports on Monday suggesting that the North London club had edged ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign the Brazilian.

Spurs narrowly missed out on a place in the Premier League’s top four last season, meaning they also missed out on the chance of playing Champions League football.

Villas-Boas is determined to make sure Spurs get into the top four this season and he has been backed with plenty of funds that has enabled him to chase his main transfer targets this summer.
