Sevilla are reportedly preparing for the departure of young midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, with Sky Sports claiming that they are tracking Queens Park Rangers’ Stephane Mbia.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move to activate Kondogbia’s £17million minimum release fee clause, and Sevilla now fear that the 20-year-old Frenchman will be heading for the Emirates Stadium.

Unai Emery’s side have already lost a number of key players this summer, with Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo both joining Manchester City, and youngster Luis Alberto signing for Liverpool.

Kondogbia has also been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea after some superb displays for the Spanish club last season, and Mbia could be tasked with replacing him in midfield.

The Cameroon international had a difficult time with QPR last season as the club suffered relegation from the Premier League, but he had been one of the top midfielders in France during his time with Marseille.

Harry Redknapp has had to deal with the departures of some key players as well, and is prepared to lose Mbia as well as he looks to rebuild a team capable of winning back promotion to the top flight, though he missed out to Fulham for an ideal replacement in Scott Parker.
