Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Nancy winger Yohan Mollo, according to the French side’s president, the Metro reports.

The 24-year-old is wanted by boss Ian Holloway for his creative drive and versatility on either flank, and he hopes that his pace will cause Premier League defenders trouble and help the newly promoted side with their push for survival.

And according to Nancy president Jacques Rousselot the former French under-21 international is also attracting attention from several other European sides, but it is Palace who are in pole position to seal Mollo’s signature.

“It’s starting to heat up. Crystal Palace are expected to reply to our proposition. All parties need to agree,” Rousselot told the French club’s official website.

“Two German clubs are also interested and Olympiakos have not given up.”

Holloway is still searching for wide players to sign in order to replace Wilfried Zaha, who joined Manchester United earlier this summer.

The Eagles have already brought in Jerome Thomas on a free transfer from West Brom, but the former Arsenal and Charlton midfielder missed the opening day Premier League defeat to Tottenham after picking up an injury in pre-season.
