Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a deal with Tottenham to sign Welsh international Gareth Bale according to the Daily Mail.

The Bernabeu side will announce the £93m deal tomorrow that will also see Fabio Coentrao move to White Hart Lane in part exchange, a move that will seemingly see Andre Villas-Boas look to further strengthen his Tottenham squad having already signed Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue and Roberto Soldado.

The Spanish giants have left the number 11 shirt number vacant and one imagines this has been with a view to winning the race to finally land a long term target.

Carlo Ancelotti will then have to somehow use both Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in his attack, which could be a ‘good’ problem to have as clearly both players play in similar roles.

Bale has made a total of 55 goals in 203 appearances, collecting 26 last season alone during which the former Southampton man impressed many and won both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards.

The fee smashes the current £80m world transfer record that Real Madrid paid for Cristiano Ronaldo back in the summer of 2009.
