Real Madrid are edging ever closer to completing a deal to sign long term target Gareth Bale with the Daily Mail reporting that a £94m move is in the offing.

The Bernabeu side are locked in negotiations with Tottenham’s money-men, with chairman Daniel Levy sticking by his guns in relation to the North London club’s valuation of their prized asset, a valuation that the Spanish giants are now looking likely to meet.

Tottenham have already seemingly started spending the cash they had apparently earmarked from the sale of Bale, bringing in Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and Etienne Capoue and now this source claims that another £60m could be invested in the additions of Brazilian winger Willian and Argentine striker Erik Lamela.

Bale hasn’t appeared for Tottenham in some weeks and seems very keen to secure a move to Real Madrid and if the Premier League side can garner as much as £94m from his sale it would be next to impossible for the club to turn down.

Gareth Bale had an outstanding season last term, scoring 26 goals in all competitions, but the fact that Andre Villas-Boas’s side failed to secure a top four finish was in many ways likely to lead to a possible departure of the former Southampton man.
