Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair looks set to join West Brom on a season-long loan, according to the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old had an unhappy season at the Etihad Stadium last year, failing to establish himself as a first-team regular following a transfer from Swansea City.

The likes of Liverpool and Southampton have also been linked with the former Chelsea youngster this summer, with the Saints reportedly offering £5million to sign him permanently, though he and City appear to have opted for a loan switch instead.

Sinclair will become West Brom’s fifth signing of the summer, and could form part of an exciting new-look attack for Steve Clarke’s side, with fellow new arrivals Nicolas Anelka and Matej Vydra.

The club have been active in the transfer and loan market in an attempt to replace the influential Romelu Lukaku, who has returned to Chelsea after an impressive loan stint at the Hawthorns last season.

Sinclair will be hoping to get his career back on track after finally establishing himself as a top Premier League player with his displays for Swansea in 2011/12.

The former England youth international made just 11 Premier League appearances for City last term, the majority of them as a substitute.
