Juventus have issued a clear hands-off warning to Arsenal over their interest in young midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Tuttosport.

The Gunners have been linked with a £20million bid for the Frenchman in the last couple of days, as they look to end the summer on a high with some late big-name signings in the transfer window.

However, they now seem unlikely to succeed in a bid to bring Pogba back to the Premier League, with Juventus telling Arsenal to “forget about” signing the former Manchester United man.

“Forget about Pogba,” Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta is quoted as saying.

“We do not have the slightest intention of listening to any offer which may arrive for our midfielder.”

With a new addition in the middle of the park seemingly a priority for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, he will likely now turn his attention to Sevilla’s Geoffrey Kondogbia and Newcastle’s Yohan Cabaye.

Arsenal have been without a defensive midfield specialist since selling Alex Song to Barcelona last summer, but are also keen on signing Cabaye as an extra option further forward.

Pogba has also been linked with Manchester City this summer, after an impressive first campaign in Serie A with Juve, where he played a part in their title win.

Two of the club’s other midfielders, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal, have also been linked several times with moves away.
