Estudiantes striker Duvan Zapata looks set to join Serie A giants Napoli after the two teams agreed a deal, Sky Sports reports.

The Colombian had previously been a target for both QPR and West Ham United at various points over the summer, but their pursuit has been ended by the Italians who are intent on bringing him to the San Paolo.

The 22-year-old is now expected to travel to Naples over the weekend in order to complete a medical and put the finishing touches on a move after the two clubs agreed a fee of around €8 million.

“There is a total agreement between both clubs, we have signed the agreement, the player will be arriving on Sunday with his visa and will have his medical tests for then signing his contract,” Lombardi to FM La Redonda.

“I want to say to our supporters that we have done what is correct and that there is no embarrassment, the officials of Estudiantes are decent people and we have done one of the best negotiations of the clubs history, with an amount involved that is around 10 million and half dollars. We have defended each single cent for Estudiantes.

“Estudiantes will be receiving 8 million dollars”.
