AC Milan and Roma fight it out for Ajax starlet.
Serie A giants AC Milan and Roma look set to battle it out for the signing of in-demand Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen, according to Forza Italian Football.
The 21-year-old looks increasingly likely to be leaving the Dutch club this summer, with just twelve months remaining on his current contract, and he has previously been linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham.
Eriksen is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world, and has been talked up as a potential great since making his debut for Ajax as a teenager back in the 2009/10 season.
His agent has previously suggested that the Danish international will only leave Ajax for a club playing in the Champions League, which looks to have ended any possibility of him joining either Liverpool or Spurs.
Juventus appeared to be the main contenders for his signature earlier this week, but it now looks like he could be headed to Milan, who will have the edge over Roma in terms of being able to offer Eriksen Champions League football.
Roma have also been previously linked with a raid on Ajax for Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld.
